What Makes Astaxanthin Interesting?

axapure® 10 - From Microalgae to Extract
The formula uses axapure® 10, an astaxanthin-rich oleoresin produced through supercritical CO₂ extraction.

Is this astaxanthin natural or synthetic?
100% natural. Axabio grows the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis in closed bioreactors in Hemiksem, Belgium, and extracts the astaxanthin with supercritical CO₂ (axapure® 10), without conventional solvents.
How many softgels should I take per day?
One 4 mg softgel per day is a good daily maintenance dose. For more targeted support, for example during intense training, recovery or a sunny holiday, many studies use 6–12 mg per day; 2 softgels (8 mg) is a commonly used amount. We advise not to exceed 8 mg per day unless a healthcare professional recommends it.
When is the best time to take it?
Take it with a meal that contains some fat, such as breakfast. Astaxanthin is fat-soluble, so it is absorbed better with food. Taking it every day matters more than the exact time: it builds up in the body over about 3–4 weeks.
Is it vegan?
Yes. The softgel is plant-based, without gelatin or carrageenan. Besides the astaxanthin extract it contains only MCT oil and natural vitamin E (D-α-tocopherol).
How long does one pack last?
A pack contains 60 softgels: 60 days at one softgel per day, or 30 days at two per day.
