Gilda Shoulder Bag Borgogna - Apple

Beschrijving

The Gilda Shoulder Bag in deep Borgogna is sculptural, structured and unmistakably elegant. It is crafted from UPPEAL™ Apple Skin, a plant-based alternative to leather made from the apple waste of the juice and jam industries: fruit that would otherwise be thrown away gets a second life as a smooth, semi-gloss material with a high bio-based content.

Elongated and refined, with long handles for shoulder or hand carry, Gilda moves effortlessly from day to evening. Light gold-tone hardware and a logo-engraved brass padlock add a quiet touch of luxury, while the zip-fastened interior keeps your essentials close.

Handcrafted in Italy. Plant-based, cruelty-free, made to last.

Materials & Maintenance

Body in UPPEAL™ (Apple Skin) with Miomojo’s premium lining made from recycled fabric; hardware in an elegant light-gold finish, allergy- and nickel-free.

For care, do not machine wash, bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean. Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth only, avoiding chemicals and solvents. Store in its original dust bag in a cool, dry place, away from heat, direct sunlight and moisture.

Sustainability & durability

UPPEAL™ is a plant-based alternative to leather crafted from apple waste from the juice and jam industries. The dried apple pulp is finely milled and applied to recycled cotton, turning a food-industry by-product into a soft, flexible and durable material with a high bio-based content. No animals, no tanning chemicals, and a second life for fruit that would otherwise be thrown away.

With balanced care and regular use, it is designed to last 10+ years, preserving its shape, softness and refined finish over time.

Miomojo

Miomojo is a love affair with nature, translated into bags that prove luxury can be exquisite without costing animals or the planet. As a Benefit Corporation and Certified B Corp, Miomojo never uses leather, wool, silk, feathers, or fur. Instead, they work with next-gen, plant-based materials, apple, cactus, grape, corn, olive, wood, even mycelium, often upcycled from agricultural by-products to keep resources in circulation.

Every decision, from sketch to shelf, is measured for impact. Unsold pieces aren’t destroyed; they’re re-channeled through partners like Humana People to People Italy, helping fund real projects, from forest preservation in Botswana to tree-planting in Italy. And because taking a stand is part of being beautiful, Miomojo donates 10% of every sale to animal and environmental charities. This is desire redesigned: timeless Italian design where ethics and aesthetics meet.
