Liquid Dreams, Our First Edition of Pure, Weightless Magic

Last week, the very first Liquid Dreams unfolded at Farmatuur, welcoming ten curious, open-hearted participants into an evening crafted to melt the mind, soothe the body, and reconnect the soul.

From the moment our guests stepped inside the store, they were wrapped in the unmistakable atmosphere of Farmatuur: the scent of botanicals drifting through the air, the warm glow of natural textures, and our signature playlist humming in the background. The space itself whispers that nature is the real luxury, and as we like to say, The Badass Queen reclaims her Crown.

It was the perfect arrival ritual for what was about to come.

The Cacao Ceremony, Opening the Heart 

Each participant was gently guided into our cacao room, where the experience began with a collective ceremonial cacao session. We use high-vibration Guatemalan cacao, prepared with intention and served with reverence.

Ceremonial cacao is far more than a drink. It contains a symphony of bioactive compounds that work on body, mind, and emotion:

Theobromine: a gentle stimulant that boosts energy and focus without the jitteriness of caffeine.
Phenylethylamine (PEA): associated with feelings of joy, presence, and soft euphoria.
Tryptophan: a precursor for serotonin, elevating mood and emotional well-being.
Anandamide: the famous “bliss molecule” that contributes to feelings of peace and subtle happiness.

Together, these compounds create a fertile inner landscape for deeper meditation, heightened creativity, and emotional openness.
The flavonoids in cacao also increase blood flow to the brain, enhancing clarity and allowing participants to drop more fully into the sensory journey ahead.

And we haven't even touched upon the energetic effect of the cacao potion, shaped by the South-American collective harvesting the beans and creating the ceremonial cacao, and the heart-infused preparation of this golden drink with a specific selection of herbs and choice of water, by Annelies, co-founder Farmatuur.

Entering the Water Temple, The Farmatuur Chapel

After the heart-opening ritual, participants walked slowly into the serene, almost sacred atmosphere of the Farmatuur Chapel, where a warm pool awaited, tranquil, softly lit, steaming gently.

Floating mattresses were prepared for each participant. They were wrapped in blankets, eyes covered, bodies surrendered to the warm water beneath them. The world outside disappeared.

This is where the true journey began.

Sound Healing, The Descent Into the Subconscious

The experience opened with a sound-healing session.
The resonant frequencies of Tibetan bowls, chimes, and soft percussive elements filled the chapel, activating the effects of the cacao and inviting the nervous system into a deep parasympathetic state.

The vibrations work directly on the emotional and energetic layers, helping participants drift past conscious thought and into a dreamlike, spacious subconscious.

As the sound bath softened into gentle ambient music, the next chapter unfolded.

The Float & Touch Ritual, Oxytocin Rising

Our team of practitioners entered the water, moving slowly, intuitively, and with great care, offering warm, nurturing touch inspired by Shiatsu and Ayurvedic principles.

This wasn’t a massage in the traditional sense, but a moment of pure holding, a deeply ancestral gesture of safety and presence. The intention of this part of the journey is simple yet profound:

To release oxytocin,
the hormone of trust, love, bonding, and emotional softening.

Everyone receives individualized attention.
Everyone is held.
Everyone floats.

The sense of weightlessness, combined with nurturing touch, creates a state of pure surrender that most people rarely feel in their everyday lives.

Throughout the session, we infused the space with meditative fragrances from the French haute-parfumerie MAD et LEN, earthy, smoky, botanical scents that anchor the senses while deepening the dreamlike atmosphere.

Closing With the Earth’s Pulse, The Didgeridoo

In the final moments, the lights dimmed completely.
Silence deepened.
And then came the earthy, primal vibration of the didgeridoo, a grounding force that reconnects every drifting soul back into the body, back into the present moment, back onto the earth.

It is both an awakening and a landing.

Returning to the World

After their journey, participants gently returned to the cacao room, where warm tea and homemade treats were waiting. The mood was soft, dreamy, and quiet, everyone moving slowly, eyes shining, bodies settled, hearts open.

Liquid Dreams is an intense experience, yet surprisingly gentle. People left restored, grounded, and ready for a deep, nourishing sleep.

This first edition was intimate, just 10 participants, and filled with emotion, softness, and magic.
