Whiskey Tombolombo

Beschreibung

Whiskey Tombolombo is a distinctive tea from Satemwa Tea Estate in southern Malawi. Its base is a hand-rolled oolong – locally known as Moolong – aged for two to three weeks in used whisky barrels from Cape Town. The barrels are rotated every few days to keep the tea evenly in contact with the oak and its aromas.

Through this maturation, the tea absorbs subtle notes of whisky and wood without losing the essence of the oolong tea. The result is a complex, layered tea with gentle malt tones and a hint of chocolate.

The infusion carries aromas of red fruit and ripe peach, with warm pear and caramel undertones. Whiskey Tombolombo reflects how experimentation and craftsmanship can yield a truly unique tea.

Tea Kulture

Every remarkable tea begins long before it reaches your cup. It begins in living soil, in mountain mists, in the patient hands of tea masters who have spent generations perfecting their craft. At Tea Kulture, tea is not simply a beverage it is a celebration of nature, culture and human connection.

Working directly with exceptional tea gardens across Asia, Africa and Europe, Tea Kulture brings together rare loose-leaf teas that reflect the unique terroir of their origin. Every harvest tells the story of its landscape, its climate and the people who dedicate their lives to cultivating it with respect for nature. By choosing direct trade, supporting local communities and preserving traditional craftsmanship, Tea Kulture demonstrates that exceptional tea can nourish not only those who drink it, but also the people and ecosystems that make it possible.
