PODCAST EPISODE 1: Claudia Pievani of Miomojo PODCAST EPISODE 1: Claudia Pievani of Miomojo

Follow “A Love Affair with Nature” to meet the conscious European founders turning love for nature into exquisite, responsible design. Episode 1: with Claudia Pievani (Miomojo) shows how true luxury can be kind, subscribe to hear more stories and help Queen Nature reclaim her crown.

Hello from Annelies & Alwin. We are opening our podcast series with a woman whose elegance is inseparable from courage, Claudia Pievani, founder of Miomojo. Claudia is the kind of entrepreneur who turns empathy into a design brief, and who proves that beauty can stand for something larger than itself. She built a vegan, cruelty-free accessories business in Bergamo, Italy, then kept pushing, choosing next-gen plant-based materials in place of animal skin and shaping a company culture that measures impact as carefully as it crafts bags.

What moves us most is the way Claudia advocates for animals with warmth and perseverance. She calls herself an animal activist as naturally as she says “designer,” and she backs it with action, from adopting bio-based innovations to a giving model that channels a fixed share of sales to animal-welfare causes, saving lives twice. Her public interviews are the same blend of grace and candor, explaining why sustainability sometimes costs more at first, why scale lowers it, and why values are non-negotiable even when fashion trends are loud. It is a steady voice that invites the industry to grow up kindly.

In our conversation we travel from orchards and laboratories to Italian workshops, tracing how apples, oranges, bamboo, olives, even mycelium can become tactile, durable, beautiful materials. Claudia’s delight in innovation is infectious, yet she keeps returning to the same quiet center, no animal has to suffer for us to carry something exquisite, and real luxury is responsibility made tangible. Her B Corp commitment gives that philosophy a backbone, turning intention into audited practice across people, planet, and product.

This episode is the first in a long-form series from Farmatuur, our way of giving a stage to the conscious entrepreneurs we have curated into our world. We will keep inviting founders whose love for nature shapes what they make and how they make it, so their stories can show the magic that is possible when craft, science, and kindness collaborate. With each voice we hope to help our Queen of all queens reclaim her crown, not with slogans, but with the quiet authority of work done well and hearts aligned with the living world.
