The Stone Diffuser

Description

THE STONE DIFFUSER, designed and made by Maddalena Selvini for Basium in honour of nature and its natural forces.

Crafted from stone dust, this unique diffuser is the product of a transformation process of sand becoming rock in nature. As stone debris is collected and exposed to high temperatures, it solidifies into Arena, a material with an earthy, weathered texture and rich porosity, ideal for releasing fragrance. Inspired by the raw, automatic creation of sand through rivers and tides, each diffuser embodies a quiet strength and inevitability, much like its origin.

NOTE

This is a limited edition, so each diffuser features slight variations in base and lid colors, either with brown or green tones. If you have a color preference, please add a note to your order, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Ingredients

100% Pietra Ollare Stone

How to use

Simply place a candle in the chamber, allowing gentle warmth to activate the material's natural diffusion. Add a few drops of essential oil to the lid every 30 minutes, and let the diffuser fill your space with calm, earthy scents, grounded in the flow of nature itself.

IN STEPS:

  1. Insert a candle inside the chamber.
  2. Place the lid on the side of the stone diffuser, make sure the flame does not touch the lid.
  3. Add 2-3 drops of essential oil on top of the lid every 30 minutes to maintain a continuous fragrance release.
  4. Allow the warmth from the candle to activate the stone’s porosity, diffusing the scent gently into the air.

Basium

BASIUM, derived from the Latin word for "kiss," embodies the essence of purity, consciousness, and intimacy in everything we put on our bodies. Basium's mission is to empower consumers with knowledge, offering a toolkit to deeply understand the ingredients that touch their skin. They are committed to organic ingredients whenever possible, because what benefits the earth also benefits the body. These practices not only protect wildlife and enhance biodiversity but also reduce fossil fuel consumption and improve soil health, which in turn supports a more sustainable ecosystem. Given that the skin is our largest organ and absorbs up to 80% of what is applied to it, choosing natural ingredients ensures that what we put on our skin is free from harmful substances.
