Crafting a New Culture of Wine, Liberated From Alcohol

Oddbird was founded in Sweden in 2013 by Moa Gürbüzer, a social worker and family therapist who spent over 20 years witnessing the impact of alcohol on families. Her vision was revolutionary: to create world-class wines where choosing alcohol or no alcohol would be as natural as choosing milk or no milk in coffee. That seed of cultural change grew into the world’s leading premium producer of dealcoholized wines.

Behind every bottle lies a decade of research, tradition, and craftsmanship. Oddbird works with dedicated winemakers and growers across Europe who honour the land, farm responsibly, and practice natural winemaking with no pesticides, no additives, and no shortcuts. Their research centre in Alsace leads the world’s largest scientific consortium on dealcoholized wine, headed by Dr. Mihaela Mihnea, whose sensory and food-science expertise ensures structure, aroma, and complexity remain intact after alcohol is gently removed.

Oddbird’s philosophy is simple, yet radical, let nature lead, honour craftsmanship, and liberate wine from alcohol without compromising depth or integrity. Today, Oddbird wines appear in Michelin-starred restaurants and over 20 global markets, proving that when quality is real, people choose freedom.
